I finally saw “Freedom” in-person

I’d seen photos of this work by sculptor Zenos Frudakis. But only visited it in-person recently.  I love it, and think it’s a spectacular piece of public art. I hope you agree. Photo by Jim Murphy, author of “Real Philly History, Real Fast.”

You’ll find this 7000-lb. Freedom Monument at 16th and Vine Street … appropriately near Philadelphia Performing Arts: A String Theory Charter School. Architectural Digest includes this sculpture in its list: “10 of the Most Interesting Sculptures in the World” – says Frudakis’ website.
